IPAA Queensland Irene Longman Oration 2022

ABOUT THIS EVENT

On 20 October 2022, IPAA Queensland hosted a flagship event in our annual program – the Irene Longman Oration.  The Oration is named in honour of Irene Longman, the first female elected to the Queensland Parliament (1929-1932) and dedicated ‘public servant’ to the community for over 30 years. Read a summary of Irene Longman as delivered by the Orator.

The 2022 Oration was delivered by Emeritus Professor Peter Coaldrake AO under the theme “Pride and purpose in service”.

Emeritus Professor Coaldrake’s Oration offered insights from his long and distinguished career in leading public service organisations and undertaking significant reform.

IPAA Queensland’s Irene Longman Oration seeks to provide a unique opportunity for IPAA Queensland members and a select group of noted executive public servants and connections to come together, hear from a prominent leader with a focus on a relevant aspect of the sector, and encourage public interest and contemporary thinking. Learn more about the Irene Longman Oration here.

IPAA members can also view the full recording of the event on their member portal.
