Overview

The Certificate IV in Frontline Management reflects the role of individuals who take the first line of management in a wide range of organisational and industry contexts. They may have existing qualifications and technical skills in any given vocation or profession, yet require skills or recognition in supervisory functions. Typically they would report to a manager. At this level frontline managers provide leadership and guidance to others and take responsibility for the effective functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes.

This qualification is delivered online providing you with the flexibility to complete the training when and where you wish. You will be fully supported throughout the learning process by qualified trainers from Accredited Online Training (AOT), Australia's leading provider of online qualifications.

Course Content

The Frontline Management program will provide you with a breadth of tools and skills which will assist in your ability to lead and manage work teams in line with broader organisational objectives.

On completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Understand business objectives and use these to develop personal and workgroup plans;
  • Identify and analyse your own work performance, with feedback from others in your organisation;
  • Act as a leader and role model, and incorporate performance plans;
  • Communicate in an effective manner, giving consideration to broader business issues and cultural and social diversity;
  • Report on Financial Activity;
  • Implement and manage operational plans;
  • Implement and monitor a safe workplace;
  • Manage and develop teams ? Implement and manage customer service strategies;
  • Undertake and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.

All assessments are conducted online and you will receive feedback from your assessor within 48 hours (except when there is a Public Holiday). Holistic or major assessments may take up to seven days. Assessments may include multiple choice and/or short answer questionnaires, portfolios, case studies, and in some cases video and/or workplace based evidence may also be required.

Maximum nominal hours: 380
Full-time load: 12hrs/wk
Full-time duration: 28 weeks

Maximum 12 months access to online course (approx. 10-20 hours to complete each unit). This should include completing both the online training module and the associated formal assessment component.

How to gain your qualification faster?
Recognition of Prior learning (RPL) is the acknowledgement of the skills and knowledge that you have gained through previous studies, work and life experiences. If RPL is granted, this will mean that you will not have to complete the study or assessments for a unit or units of competency. Please read the student handbook for more information.
